Instructional Media Center

The Norco College Instructional Media Center (IMC) is now part of the Technology Support Services (TSS) team and provides and maintains the audio/visual technology, equipment, and services to support the courses, instructional activities and academic events at Norco College.

The Norco College Technology Support Services team serves the needs of the college community by providing innovative audiovisual technology and resources, along with instructional support and professional multimedia services that enhance student success and the educational mission of Norco College.

Media Services

Some of the services provided for faculty and staff include:

Policies & Procedures

In order to initiate a request for a media service for an event, please adhere to the following guidelines:

48-Hour Notice is Required for all Media Requests

When filling out the request in 25Live, please include:

  • Building 
  • Room Number 
  • Name of Requestor 
  • Contact Number 
  • Day/Dates of the event 
  • Time the event starts and ends 

Note: Only one order per form. Multiple requests require multiple forms.

Equipment 

TSS provides a variety of equipment for classroom delivery. In order to schedule equipment for delivery please complete a request in  25Live at least 48 hours in advance. The following is a list of equipment available for delivery:

Projectors

  • Camcorder with Tripod

Laptop Carts (Can only be requested in the following buildings)

Video Conferencing

Instructors and staff needing to schedule video conferencing sessions must submit a ticket through the Helpdesk to submit a video conferencing request.

 

Digital Signage

Please contact the Instructional Media Center to display any approved material on the digital signage system located at the marquee. (Note: To request the creation of content, please contact the Public Information Officer for Norco College.)

Equipment Repairs

Scheduling 
Equipment repairs are provided in the order that the request for repair is received. Please submit a Helpdesk request for repair services or contact us. Only equipment that has been purchased through TSS will be repaired. Equipment purchased by departments without consulting TSS will not be repaired, and it will be the responsibility of the requesting department to obtain repair services.

LCD Projector Replacement Lamps 
TSS provides LCD projector replacement lamp service in the order that the request for lamp replacement received. Please contact us to schedule these services. TSS  will replace LCD projection lamps on projectors purchased by / through TSS. If the projector was not purchased by/through TSS, the department requesting assistance must obtain repair/replacement services from an outside vendor.

 

Purchasing Guidelines

In order to ensure compatibility with existing supported equipment, TSS must be consulted before any equipment is purchased. Please submit a ticket through the Helpdesk to arrange a consultation. After providing details and reviewing the needs of the department, TSS will recommend the purchase of equipment or services and obtain a vendor quote. If the quote is acceptable, TSS will then provide an official quote for the purchase of equipment or services. 

The timeline for the installation of new equipment is dependent on a variety of factors including: type of equipment, vendor, location to be installed, inventory control and room availability. Please contact TSS for an approximation of availability of new equipment.
