Experience
Kimberly Thomas began as our new Supervisor for Basic Needs and Wellness here at Norco College in August 2022. This is a new, and much-needed, position at NC and after an intense nationwide search, Kimberly prevailed as the ideal person for this position! Kimberly has held the position of Student Resource Specialist, as well as Part-Time Adjunct Faculty here at NC since 2018. She has worked closely with our Foster Youth, EOPS, and CARES students while teaching general education classes at local high schools as part of the Dual Enrollment Team.
Kimberly is an experienced Social Service Practitioner committed to helping adults of all ages reach their academic, personal, and professional goals as they overcome the stressors of pursuing higher education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Services from Chapman University and her Master of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis on mental health and wellness from Grand Canyon University. This summer Kimberly was an RCCD representative in the French Embassy Study Aboard Bootcamp Program. She, along with two Norco College Phoenix Scholar participants, spent two weeks in Paris with community college students from across the country.
