Experience

Kylie was a first-generation college student (with her first-ever college course being here at Norco College while she was in high school) and she now holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership. She has an extensive background in education and community engagement, having previously served as a Director of the Career Ladders Project and the Director of Dual Enrollment & Early College for both Bakersfield College and Kern Community College District. As a former high school teacher and principal, Kylie has extensive experience in outreach, teaching, and educational management.

Born and raised in Norco, Kylie attended Norco High School and then graduated from John F. Kennedy Middle College High School. As a result of this experience, Kylie knows firsthand the positive impact that early college programs can have on students, especially first-generation college students like herself. In her new role, she will be responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of Norco College's high school and educational partnership programs, including dual enrollment and the Rising Scholars program. She is deeply committed to strengthening partnerships with community-based organizations and industry partners to create opportunities for our community at every stage of life.
