Madelyn Torres
Dual Enrollment
Spotlight (2021)
Madelyn Torres, Eleanor Roosevelt High School alumni, took advantage of the Norco
College Dual Enrollment program, a program that gives high school students the opportunity
to take college courses at their participating high school campus.
“I want to thank CNUSD, Roosevelt High School, and Norco College for coordinating
the Dual Enrollment program. This is something that really prepared me for college
and helped me get ahead,” said Torres. “I will be graduating from California State
University, Fullerton with my bachelor's degree in political science a year and a
half early.”
Torres graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2019, and expects to graduate from
CSUF in the next couple of months, saving her and her family much time and money.
In addition to excelling in her studies, Torres landed an internship at the office
of External Affairs for the California Governor.
Norco College offers Dual Enrollment classes that span across four school districts
and 11 high schools. Participating high schools include Corona, Centennial, Eleanor
Roosevelt, Norco, Santiago, John F. Kennedy, Jurupa Valley, La Sierra and four California
Virtual Academy (CAVA) locations. To learn about the program, visit www.norcocollege.edu/dualenrollment. Schools and Districts wishing to obtain more information can contact dualenrollment@norcocollege.edu.
