Mustang of the Month - April 2025

I am pleased to share that Ruben Aguilar has been selected as our Mustang of the Month for April! A proud U.S. Army veteran and dedicated educator, Ruben exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose, passion, and service. From mentoring colleagues to supporting students and shaping campus initiatives, Ruben plays an active and valued role in our Norco College community. Ruben’s nominator shared: "Ruben Aguilar exemplifies community! Besides being a US Army veteran, Ruben is actively involved in the Kinesiology department through his participation in IOI evaluations for Associate Faculty and Full-time Faculty for the Kinesiology and Health Science disciplines; through his contributions to curriculum needs for Kinesiology; and, through his service as an advisor for the Kinesiology Student Association."

Ruben’s influence doesn’t stop there. He launched Norco College’s first-ever Women’s Flag Football club, plays a key role in initiatives like Walking Wednesdays and the Black Student Care Project, and provides mentorship through the Puente Program. On top of all this, he’s currently pursuing a Doctorate in Organizational Change and Administration, modeling what lifelong learning truly looks like. Congratulations, Ruben!
