Mustang of the Month - May 2024
As Co-Chair of TLC, Lisa Hernandez's outstanding efforts in helping her fellow faculty
develop their excellence as educators have been recognized. Her work has significantly
impacted the quality of education and inspired many. Additionally, her initiative
in running a student reading club and engaging in various college projects, such as
the English Communities of Practice, showcases her commitment to going above and beyond
in all that she does.
Lisa's innovative approach to organizing skits for students based on famous plays
and her continuous efforts to make pedagogy more accessible are truly praiseworthy.
Her steadfast commitment to social and economic justice further highlights her dedication
to making a difference in the lives of others. Lisa’s nominator writes that she is
