Norco College released 41 new program pages to help students understand and navigate certificate and degree options. Pages include career options, trailheads, major information, and student/faculty profiles. The program pages have also been added to the A-Z index. This week's program spotlight is on the Computer Applications program.

A computer application (application or app for short) is a computer program designed to perform a group of coordinated functions, tasks, or activities for the benefit of the user. The study of computer applications prepares students for a career in the field of computer applications and software development. It also can help students to become proficient with a specific application, such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel or Adobe Photoshop.

Career Options

Career options for students who get a degree in computer science include: software applications developer, computer systems analyst, graphic designer, network systems administrator, web developer, and computer programmer.
