Zina Chacon
Counselor
Hi there, Norco Mustangs!
I love working at Norco College as a General Counselor and Professor in Guidance courses.
I am here to help you plan your courses, help you develop your student education plan
and help you get connected to resources then graduate, transfer and earn your certificates
and degrees. I also attended community college after changing my major and leaving
a university my first year in college. I met with a counselor and was able to do some
career exploration and transfer with a Sociology degree. I learned how important meeting
with a counselor and working with my professors was to do well and plan my career
and education. My hobbies are golfing, running, cooking, wine pairing and taking care
of my two cats and dog. I am an Alumni of USC and love going to their football games
and alumni connections. My son is also a college student so I see though his lens
how navigating college can be challenging while balancing your life. I believe you
can succeed by making connections with people at Norco College! See a Counselor! Meet
with your professors and get involved with programs, services, workshops, events and
activities to see all that we offer you to accomplish your goals.
