Norco College released 41 new program pages to help students understand and navigate certificate and degree options. Pages include career options, trailheads, major information, and student/faculty profiles. The program pages have also been added to the A-Z index. This week's program spotlight is on the Geography program.

Geography is the study of Earth's landscapes, peoples, places and environments. It is about the world in which we live. Geography is divided into two main branches: human geography and physical geography. There are additional branches in geography such as regional geography, cartography, and integrated geography.

 

Career Options

Career options for students who get a degree in geography include: land developer, cartographer, emergency management planner, location analyst, operations manager, environmental consultant, planning and development surveyor, city planner, and surveying and mapping technician.
