Norco, CA: Norco College made the 2022 Military Times Best for Vets: Colleges list, ranking
the college fourth in California’s best two-year colleges for veterans. Pasadena,
Citrus, and Cuyamaca take the top three spots. This makes Norco College the top 2-year
college of choice for veterans in the Inland Empire.
President Monica Green shared, “Norco College is proud to be an institution of higher learning that supports the veteran community. Our commitment is to ensure all veterans can easily transition from the military to the college classroom and become successful in their pathway of choice.” Green also noted thanks to her team for their “dedication and service to our veterans.”
The Norco College Veterans Resource Center (VRC) is home to the California MAP Initiative, an innovative statewide effort to develop and implement the Military Articulation Platform (MAP), a system to match college courses to credit recommendations found on military transcripts.
This year Norco College has awarded over 1,000 units of credit for prior learning:

- 28 student veterans received an average of 18 units (507 total units).
- 24 electrician apprentices received an average of 21 units (504 total units).
- 44 students were able to complete their degree or certificate because of the credit awarded for prior learning/training.
