Four Engineering Pathways STEM alumni, who will be attending the University of California, Riverside in the Fall, were selected to participate in the UC Riverside Bourns College of Engineering 2020 TUNE Summer Bridge to Research program.

The TUNE Summer Bridge to Research Program is a paid ten-week, full-time research experience for 20 first-time incoming community college transfer students to the Bourns College of Engineering. Participants will receive a $5,000 stipend at the end of the ten weeks.
The program, funded by the Training from Undergraduate through Navy Engagement (TUNE) Grant from the Office of Naval Research, supports underrepresented student populations in the engineering field. The summer bridge program removes barriers to transfer by making students and faculty at the community college familiar with life and programs at UCR.
