The Pearson family has established the Kailey Mia Pearson Memorial Scholarship Fund to celebrate Kailey’s enduring spirit of kindness, compassion, and service. This scholarship will support Norco College students pursuing degrees in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, reflecting Kailey’s dream of becoming a counselor and helping others.
Thanks to the generosity of 62 individual donors via crowdfunding, the fund has raised $6,300 to support students committed to making a positive impact in their communities.
“Kailey was always finding ways to support others,” said her mother. “She had a heart for helping people in need, and we want to continue that legacy. She was exploring a path in counseling or social work, driven by a deep desire to support others, which is why we created this scholarship—to help students who share her passion.”
Born on January 25, 2005, Kailey was a graduate of Roosevelt High School’s Class of 2023 and had just begun her journey at Norco College. She was known for her adventurous spirit, kindness, and deep love for animals, especially her rescue dogs, Cooper, Roxy, and Blue. Whether reuniting lost pets with their families or exploring new places, Kailey embraced life with curiosity and warmth.
Though her time was tragically short, Kailey’s impact lives on through this scholarship, ensuring that her generosity will continue to inspire future generations.
