From Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, the college will join the nationwide celebration, offering events and programs that highlight the vibrancy, diversity, and strength of our Hispanic community.

Event Details for Hispanic Heritage Month

 

Date: October 3, 2024 

Time: 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. 

Location: Norco College Amphitheater 

Free Food: Enjoy traditional dishes from Mexico, El Salvador, and Argentina.

Live Performances: Experience the beauty and energy of Baile Folklórico and Danza Azteca.

 

This event serves as an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and the community to come together to celebrate the diverse Hispanic cultures that enrich our campus. Attendees will be treated to traditional dishes from Mexico, El Salvador, and Argentina, representing the culinary diversity that spans Latin America. From savory tacos to delicious empanadas, there will be something for everyone to enjoy!

The celebration will also feature captivating performances by local groups, including a Baile Folklórico troupe that will showcase traditional Mexican dances, and a Danza Azteca group, offering a mesmerizing performance rooted in the ancient traditions of the Aztec civilization.

Norco College President Dr. Monica Green shared, “Hispanic Heritage Month is an important time for reflection and celebration, especially for our college and community. We are committed to celebrating the cultures, histories, and contributions of the Hispanic community, which play a vital role in shaping not only our college but the future of our nation.”
