A Kurdish, Persian, Canadian, American who believes in transformative learning through teamwork and building together. Farshid got his master's in architecture from the University of Tehran, worked for various engineering and design companies in Toronto, later in Santa Monica, CA. Farshid taught Technical Design and CNC Machine Technology Programs to incarcerated students in Washington state community colleges including Pierce and Grays Harbor for over 8 years, where he developed many career technical certificates with hands on experience on high end technology from design to build.

As an immigrant, living in different countries, meeting people from various nations Farshid understands the value of education and technical skills in today's market as well as the challenge and problems that needs to be solved along the way. He has helped students to develop their ideas, document them from sketches to three-dimensional CAD, CAE and CAM programs, build prototypes and patent them. Farshid started teaching at Norco College since 2018, He is the lead faculty on developing Norco's first Makerspace.
