The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee would like to invite you to our
first of four presentations to celebrate Women's History Month. Starting this Thursday,
and for the rest of the month, we will be presenting on the different experiences
of women in academia and the community. DEI would like to thank Dr. Nancy Quinones
from Ethnic Studies and SBS, for serving as a valuable resource to connecting Norco
College to these powerful and dynamic women.
Dr. Sandy Dixon is a Professor and Repatriation Tribal Liaison at California Polytechnic
University, Pomona. She'll be sharing part of her journey as a Native American woman
navigating a university system that wasn't/isn't so welcoming to Native American students
and what she is actively working on to change that for students today.
