I hope this message finds you well in light of the latest news about the Coronavirus. I have some unfortunate news to share with you. Our Celebrating Women in STEM Conference is being postponed to a later date. Our campus leadership met this morning and came to the difficult decision to postpone the event for a later date as we receive ongoing and updated information related to COVID-19. My deepest apologies for the last minute notification! We had many students registered to attend from junior high schools, high schools, and local community colleges in addition to our faculty, guest speakers, workshop presenters and volunteers. Your well-being, health and safety is most important due to the COVID-19 concerns. We are considering a new date for our event of May 22 or May 29 and I hope each of you are available for either date! We will keep you apprised of the exact date as soon as possible. Please contact me directly if you have any questions and thank you again for your continued support to propel women forward in STEM careers!
The day will consist of a panel discussion with former STEM students, interactive workshops, a campus tour and a keynote presentation.
The event is sponsored by the Norco College STEM Engineering Pathways, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio. To register, email Patricia Gill.
