The virtual Grand Opening of the Veterans Resource Center at Norco College was held on Wednesday, November 10 at 5 pm.
Thank you to the many Mustangs that came together to make the Veterans Resource Center Grand Opening celebration a success!
Many thanks to the planning team that included Commander David Brambila, American Legion District 21; from Norco College, Cecilia Ramirez, Denise Terrazas, Desiree Wagner, Kaneesha Tarrant, Kevin Fleming, Mark DeAsis, and Monica Esparza; and from our District Office, Chris Clarke, Marisa Yeager, and Robert Schmidt. The evening would not have been captured without the technical and video expertise of Dan Lambros, Ruth Leal, and Tony Rizo. A link to the celebration is in the invitation below. This evening would not have been possible without our college and district facilities teams working tirelessly in preparation for the event, thanks to Trae Bell, Art Yalong, Adam Lyter, Ernesto Cardenas, and the Grounds team. Chef Antonio and the entire Corral team, thank you for the delicious hor d’oeuvres and refreshments. Thank you to Eric Betancourt, Veterans Services Specialist, Sgt. Jim Rossum, and the RCCD Police for their extra effort ensuring that our guests felt welcome and safe.
A special thank you to Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes for her financial support and unwavering advocacy for the Veterans Resource Center and the expansion of the Military Articulation Platform.
A personal thank you to our student Veterans for their warm reception during the grand opening that included greeting guests, presenting challenge coins, and providing guided tours.
Just in case you missed it, the Sun reported on the VRC Grand Opening in a special article featuring young Veterans.
