The Riverside Community College District (RCCD) partnered with California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) to host an Instant Admit Day at Norco College, giving students from Norco College, Moreno Valley College, and Riverside City College the opportunity to meet one-on-one with CSUSB admissions counselors and receive on-the-spot admission decisions.

The event welcomed 29 students, with 25 earning guaranteed admission to CSUSB for the spring 2026 semester. The remaining four students were advised on additional coursework needed to become eligible for future terms. These engagement numbers reflect strong interest and participation from across all three RCCD colleges.

Instant Admit Day provides an on-the-spot review of coursework to determine eligibility for admission. Qualified students received a guaranteed “Coyote Pass,” ensuring pre-approval and a reserved spot for the Spring 2026 semester. Meanwhile, a nearby Cal State Apply workshop allowed students to start and submit their CSUSB applications in just minutes.

Beyond admissions evaluations, students connected with campus experts, including Francisco Burgos, CSUSB’s Financial Literacy Coordinator, who has spent four years helping families navigate the complexities of financial aid, and Stephanie Loera from CSUSB’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, who shared details on programs such as Child Development, Criminal Justice, Ethnic Studies, Political Science, Psychology, and Social Work.

The Norco College Transfer Center collaborated closely with the CSUSB outreach team to create an event that streamlined the transfer process and inspired students to envision themselves as part of the CSUSB community—ready to “define their future.”
