Norco College released 41 new program pages to help students understand and navigate certificate and degree options. Pages include career options, trailheads, major information, and student/faculty profiles. The program pages have also been added to the A-Z index. This week's program spotlight is on the Mathematics program.

Mathematics is the abstract science of number, quantity, and space. Mathematics may be studied in its own right (pure mathematics), or as it is applied to other disciplines such as physics and engineering (applied mathematics). Algebra, arithmetic, calculus, geometry, and trigonometry are branches of mathematics.

Career Options

Career options for students who get a degree in mathematics include: accountant, investment analyst, teacher, research scientist, computer programmer, animator, game designer, and robotics engineer.
