Norco College released 41 new program pages to help students understand and navigate certificate and degree options. Pages include career options, trailheads, major information, and student/faculty profiles. The program pages have also been added to the A-Z index. This week's program spotlight is on the Manufacturing Technology program.

Manufacturing technology provides the tools that enable production of all manufactured goods. These master tools of industry magnify the effort of individual workers and give an industrial nation the power to turn raw materials into the affordable, quality goods essential to today's society.

 

Career Options

Career options for students who get a degree in manufacturing technology include: semiconductor manufacturer, general purpose machinery manufacturer, architectural and structural metals manufacturer, and medical equipment and supplies manufacturer.

Mohamad Hilal
Mohamad Hilal is an alumnus of Norco College who is currently a Senior at Cal Poly Pomona majoring in Civil Engineering and has been working at the County of Orange for two years.

“The first year I was involved in the surveying department where I did a lot of fieldwork and office work. The second year I became an intern in the design team in the county. Since this is my area of interest, I was able to excel and get involved in so many interesting projects,” said Hilal.
