Norco College released 41 new program pages to help students understand and navigate
certificate and degree options. Pages include career options, trailheads, major information,
and student/faculty profiles. The program pages have also been added to the A-Z index.
This week's program spotlight is on the Computer Information Systems & Computer Science program.
Computer science is the study of computer technology, both hardware and software.
Principal areas of study within computer science include artificial intelligence,
computer information systems and networks, security, database systems, human computer
interaction, vision and graphics, numerical analysis, programming languages, software
engineering, bioinformatics and theory of computing.
Career Options
Career options for students who get a degree in computer science include: software applications developer, computer systems analyst, graphic designer, network systems administrator, web developer, and computer programmer.
