Norco College proudly participated in the 13th Annual Riverside County Women’s Leadership Conference, held on Thursday, August 8th, at Crossroads Christian Church in Corona, CA. This inspiring event, hosted by the Corona Chamber of Commerce, brought together over 600 attendees, including both men and women, united in support of each other and committed to advancing their personal and professional goals.

As a key community partner and event exhibitor, Norco College was honored to host a Career and Technical Education (CTE) booth at the conference. This opportunity allowed the College to connect with women in CTE fields, engage with prospective students, and network with current and future employer partners. The event was a platform for fostering relationships and highlighting the importance of women's roles in traditionally underrepresented industries.

“The Women’s Leadership Conference was an inspiring event. It was amazing to see a room full of women in Riverside County come together to empower one another and support each other in their professional goals,” said Paula Barrera Partida, Norco College’s classified employee that helps Career Education students. “We even met some Norco College alumni who stopped by our booth to share their educational and professional growth and the role Norco College played in helping them obtain successful employment.”

Paula Barrera Partida, who regularly attends Corona Chamber of Commerce meetings, was joined by Stephanie Karnes, CTE Projects Specialist, in representing Norco College at the event. For both, it was their first time attending the Women’s Leadership Conference, making the experience even more impactful.

The conference featured a lineup of motivational speakers who inspired attendees to strive for their personal and professional best. The event was a testament to the strength and resilience of women in Riverside County, and Norco College is proud to have been part of such an empowering experience.

Norco College recognizes the vital role of the Corona Chamber of Commerce in the business community and remains committed to supporting networking events like this. The College looks forward to continuing its partnership with the Chamber and participating in future events that empower and uplift the community.
