Norco College proudly highlights the exceptional achievements of its Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) department, particularly within the dynamic Music Studies program. This thriving program is dedicated to nurturing the musical talents of our students and providing them with opportunities to showcase their skills and passion for music.
One of the recent highlights of the Music Studies program was the Guitar Ensemble Summer Concert, held on Thursday, July 25th. Under the direction of Dr. Ben Palispis, Norco College’s talented guitar students delivered a mesmerizing performance that captivated the audience. The concert featured outstanding solo performances by students Cammie Antell, Vanessa Alvarez, Ana Cubias, Ismael Montez, Daniel Palacios-Valles, Amir Pourmehdi, Bryer Solis, Jorge Sanchez, Jason Villalobos, and Anna Yalong.
The audience was particularly moved by the stirring vocal and guitar performance by Cammie Antell, and the concert concluded with a show-stopping finale: an incredible arrangement of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It,” complete with the iconic Eddie Van Halen guitar solo. This performance demonstrated the dedication and skill of our students and the expert guidance of Dr. Palispis.
Congratulations to Dr. Palispis and all the amazing Norco College guitar students for their hard work and for delivering a concert that will not soon be forgotten.
