Norco College is thrilled to announce the receipt of a generous donation of $62,000
for an endowed scholarship from the late Roberta Hamersma. A devoted Norco resident,
Norco High School graduate, and Riverside City College alumna, Roberta had a deep
understanding of the value of education and the transformative impact of scholarships.
Roberta Hamersma, who served at Jurupa Unified School District since 1990, was passionately
committed to supporting educational opportunities for students. In April 2022, the
Norco College Foundation learned of Roberta's passing and received news that 5% of
her trust would be dedicated to establishing an endowed scholarship at Norco College.
This $62,000 endowed scholarship plays a pivotal role in contributing to the academic
and personal growth of Norco College students, reflecting Roberta's enduring belief
in the power of education to transform lives and create opportunities for success.

in education. The college community is grateful for the enduring impact of Roberta
