Norco College will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2024, in observance of Independence Day. The college will resume regular operations and classes on Monday, July 8, 2024.
The Fourth of July holds profound significance for all Americans, symbolizing the birth of our nation and the core values of freedom, democracy, and unity. It is an opportunity to honor the sacrifices made by our forefathers and veterans to secure these liberties and to celebrate the diverse and vibrant fabric of our society.
This holiday brings communities together in a spirit of patriotism, reminding us of the shared ideals that unite us as a nation. At Norco College, we deeply value the importance of this day and join in commemorating the principles that continue to shape our collective identity and inspire our commitment to education and community service.
"We want to wish our students, faculty, classified professionals, and the entire community a happy and safe Fourth of July," said Dr. Monica Green, President of Norco College. "This day is an opportunity to celebrate the freedoms we enjoy and to spend time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to campus on July 8th."
The Veterans Resource Center at Norco College also extends its warm wishes for the holiday.
"Independence Day is a special time for reflection on the sacrifices made by our Veterans to secure the freedoms we cherish," said Eric Betancourt, Veterans Services Coordinator. "We honor their contributions and encourage everyone to take a moment to appreciate the liberties we have."
All campus facilities, including administrative offices, the library, and student services, will be closed for the holiday. Online services will remain available, and students are encouraged to check their emails and the Norco College website for any important updates.
