Norco College has been selected to participate in Student Voices Informing Practice in Noncredit Workforce Education, a new national initiative led by the Education and Employment Research Center at Rutgers University and the National Council for Workforce Education.
Norco College is one of only 15 colleges nationwide chosen for the initiative and the only participating institution from California. The selected colleges represent a diverse range of students, programs, institutional sizes, and geographic regions.
The initiative aims to better understand the experiences of community college students enrolled in noncredit workforce programs and to elevate the insights of the college staff and faculty who design and deliver those programs. Through research and participation in a peer-learning community, colleges will strengthen noncredit workforce programs, services, and policies to improve student outcomes and inform the nationwide implementation of Workforce Pell.
Participation in this national effort reflects Norco College’s ongoing commitment to advancing equitable workforce pathways and ensuring that student voices inform program design and institutional practice.
By connecting research to practice, the initiative seeks to ensure that the perspectives of noncredit students and the expertise of college practitioners drive meaningful improvements in workforce education.
