The Norco College Honors Program recently hosted its Fall 2025 Orientation, welcoming a new cohort of students eager to embark on an enriched academic journey. The orientation served as an introduction to the many benefits the program offers, helping students plan for the year ahead through academic, social, and professional opportunities designed to foster excellence and connection.

During the event, students had the chance to network with peers, engage in meaningful discussions over refreshments, and ask questions about upcoming Honors Conferences and activities.

One of the most eagerly anticipated announcements was the program’s intention to adopt a Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) pathway in future semesters. This initiative would enable participating Honors students to complete their program without incurring any costs for textbooks or course materials—removing one more financial barrier to access and success.

The event was facilitated by Honors Co-Coordinators Adriana Moreno and Cameron Young, this year’s orientation marked the most well-attended in recent memory, with nearly 40 students participating. The strong turnout reflects the growing enthusiasm for the Honors community and the program’s continued commitment to student success.

The Honors Program is always open to welcoming new students! Whether you are faculty and would like to recommend students, a classified professional or administrator overseeing motivated student employees, or a student yourself looking for creativity, challenge, and strong networking opportunities, the Honors Program would be #honored if you joined. We have applications at the ready and a special petition (in case there may have been extenuating circumstances that may have impacted entrance eligibility).
