Norco College is proud to announce the creation of the Angela and Margret Forte Memorial Scholarship Fund, a new scholarship initiative that honors the lives and legacies of Angela Forte and Margret Forte. These two extraordinary women, the mother and grandmother of Travonne (Trae) Bell, Director of Facilities at Norco College, are remembered for their unwavering commitment to service, compassion, and community engagement. This scholarship fund is a heartfelt tribute to their remarkable lives and enduring influence.
The Angela and Margret Forte Memorial Scholarship Fund aims to support students at Norco College and Riverside City College who are pursuing degrees in cosmetology and business. These fields were particularly meaningful to Angela and Margret. By providing financial assistance to deserving students in these areas, the scholarship program seeks to honor their legacy while empowering the next generation of professionals.
In loving memory of his mother and grandmother, Trae Bell has generously established this scholarship program to continue their legacy of service, kindness, and community engagement. Through the Angela and Margret Forte Memorial Scholarship Fund, students are given the means to pursue their educational aspirations while embodying the values that Angela and Margret Forte cherished.
The Angela and Margret Forte Memorial Scholarship Fund will be managed by the RCCD Foundation in partnership with the Riverside Community College Office of Financial Aid. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Current Norco College or Riverside City College student in good academic standing.
- GPA of 2.5 or higher, enrolled and pursuing degrees in cosmetology or business.
- Demonstrated financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
The scholarships will be awarded in increments of $1,000 each to students who meet these criteria. If no candidates meet the eligibility criteria in a given year, the award may be held until a suitable recipient is found.
