The Engineering Pathways Program and NAVSEA Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division have collaborated together to offer a summer internship program for Engineering Pathways participants. Thank you to all students who submitted their application. The mentors and administrators from NAVSEA selected five of our students for the summer 2021 internship. It was challenging given the great caliber of students to select from and matching them to the research/projects that the mentors would have available to work on virtually. We would like to congratulate the students selected to the Summer 2021 Internship Program!

Congratulations to the following students chosen by NAVSEA mentors for this year’s engagement!

  1. Jeffry Larin
  2. Eric Jurisch
  3. Andrew Rivero
  4. Justin Teeter
  5. Faisal Shahji
The internship will be a virtual experience and students will be required to use their own personal devices. Although virtual, this is considered a full-time working position. The summer session will begin on June 14, 2021 and end on August 6, 2021. At the end of the session, interns will be required to do a short presentation on their project to NAVSEA workforce, leadership, project sponsors, and our Norco College faculty. NAVSEA Mentors will set virtual meeting schedules, collaborative meetings with all interns, Navy intern coordinators, and occasional training related to working in a professional environment. Each intern will receive a $4,000.00 stipend upon completion of their internship and presentation.

Congratulations again to our students on this great opportunity!
