Norco College is proud to honor the enduring legacy of Marissa Iliscupidez with the establishment of the Marissa Iliscupidez Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship reflects Marissa's unwavering commitment to student success, a dedication exemplified by her constant focus on the question, “How will this help students?” Tragically, we lost Marissa nearly two years ago, but her spirit continues to inspire and guide our community.
The Marissa Iliscupidez Memorial Scholarship is a collaborative effort coordinated with the RCCD Foundation, led by Marie Thermidor, in partnership with the Academic Counseling and Career Development Center. This scholarship is designed to provide vital financial assistance to students pursuing their educational goals at Norco College. Each year, it will help ease the financial burden for deserving students, ensuring that Marissa’s impact on student success is felt for generations to come.
In addition to the scholarship, we invite the community to visit a heartfelt tribute to Marissa located on campus. A beautiful tree and memorial plaque have been placed in the walkway between the Student Services building and the College Resource Center. This living tribute allows students and staff to pay their respects and remember Marissa’s dedication to fostering a supportive learning environment.
