CSEA's Classified Senate is proud to announce that Gilbert De Leon has been selected as the 2024 Classified Professional of the Year.
Enacted in 2018, the Classified Professional of the Year Award recognizes a Norco College classified professional for their professionalism, involvement in the college and community, teamwork, outstanding commitment to our students and the college community, as well as an inspiration to other classified professionals.
Based on his nomination, Gilbert was chosen. He exemplifies all of these traits. Please

About Gilbert De Leon
Gilbert De Leon is a Student Success Coach in the Men of Color Scholars & Puente.
Gilbert, who is an RCCD graduate, is committed to student success, access, and equity.
He is passionate and committed to helping students achieve their goals and we are
incredibly lucky to have such an amazing role model working with our equity programs.
He guides students on their programs and gives the peer mentors insight and ideas
for events, talks, and leadership retreats. Gilbert is on the Classified Professional
Development Committee and leads in equity discussions and workshops. He is the Equity
Liaison for the Classified Senate and serves on DEIA Committee, Guided Pathways Advisory
Group, Undocu Task Force and Equity project teams. He listens, encourages, and lifts
up CPROS to present their ideas and works collaboratively with the wider classified
community. He is a friend, and his warm smile and caring demeanor invites you to join
in activities and try new things.
