A team of talented business students from Norco College has claimed first place at the Tri-College Student Pitch Competition, held on November 8 at Mount San Antonio College. Competing against teams from Mt. San Antonio College and Cerritos College, Norco College’s team won the top prize of $1,000 with their business idea, RecruitHub. RecruitHub is a social media platform designed to bring athletes and recruiters together.

The winning team members—Tyler Carne, Abigail Martinez, Angel Puente, and Nicholas Blahut—impressed the judges with their pitch, which was evaluated based on criteria such as market opportunity and concept validation. The panel of judges included established entrepreneurs, business professionals, and community leaders, providing students with valuable feedback and experience in pitching business ideas.

Eric Doucette, associate professor of business administration, expressed his pride in the team’s accomplishment, noting, “Our students' creativity and diligence paid off. This victory celebrates their achievement and highlights Norco College’s dedication to fostering entrepreneurial skills.”

The Tri-College Student Pitch Competition, open to Cerritos College, Mt. SAC, and Norco College students, offers participants the chance to develop and present business ideas to a professional audience. The event allows students to gain real-world experience in business presentation and receive feedback from industry experts.

This win highlights Norco College's ongoing commitment to providing impactful learning opportunities for its students
