Mission Statement
At the Norco College WRC, we see writing as a social practice, a way of participating in real-world and conceptual conversations that encourages critical thinking and effective expression. We provide a welcoming space for readers and writers of all disciplines in which they can talk through and develop their ideas in the presence of attentive peer writing tutors and English professors. We tailor our free one-on-one support to the many skill levels we encounter. By building community, sharing valuable lifelong reading strategies, and demystifying the stages of the writing process without appropriating the writing of others, we empower readers and writers to construct knowledge in their present and future academic pursuits as well as in the community at large.
