On May 28th, the Norco College Chapter of Student Veterans of America organized a heartfelt Memorial Day BBQ to honor fallen service members. The event brought together students, staff, faculty, and administration in a solemn and educational celebration of remembrance.
Participants had the opportunity to engage in a flag folding ceremony, a poignant tribute to the sacrifices made by military personnel. Student veterans led the ceremony, providing insightful explanations about the significance of Memorial Day and the traditions associated with honoring those who have served.
"The Memorial Day BBQ was a meaningful way for our campus community to come together and pay tribute to the brave individuals who have given their lives for our country," said Dr. Monica Green, President of Norco College. "We are deeply grateful to our student veterans for their leadership and dedication in organizing this event."
The event was a blend of education, reflection, and camaraderie, allowing attendees to deepen their understanding of Memorial Day while enjoying the fellowship and support of the Norco College community.
