Norco, CA – The Norco College Women's Flag Football program is proud to announce its participation in the upcoming Spring 2026 California Community Colleges Women's Flag Football season, marking the program's second year of competition. In just a short time, Norco's program has grown into one of the fastest-moving and most exciting sports initiatives in Riverside County, creating opportunities for student-athletes and inspiring the community.
This season, Norco College will not only compete against local community colleges but will also have the opportunity to line up against four-year universities such as the University of Redlands, La Sierra University, and Cal Lutheran University. These matchups showcase the growing recognition and respect for women's flag football as one of the most rapidly emerging sports in the region.
A highlight of the upcoming season will be the potential first-ever "Battle of the District" game under the lights at SilverLakes, where Norco College would face its sister school, Moreno Valley College. This historic matchup will represent the growth of women's flag football within the Riverside Community College District and beyond.
"We are building more than just a team, we are building a movement," said Ruben Aguilar, Head Coach and Assistant Athletic Director at Norco College. "Flag football gives our athletes a platform to compete, grow, and lead, and it's exciting to see our program becoming a model for others."
The Norco Mustangs athletics department extends an open invitation to the entire community, future recruits, surrounding high schools, district administration, college leadership, and the Board of Trustees to join us for a season full of competition, opportunity, and excitement. The upcoming "Battle of the District" will be a night of history-making moments, community pride, and Herstory in the making.
