The Corona Chamber’s Executive Leadership Roundtable (ELR) recently celebrated the graduation of its 2024 cohort, featuring notable participants from the Riverside Community College District (RCCD), including Marie Thermidor (RCCD) and Michael Collins (Norco College). Throughout a 10-month journey, the program provided 30 dynamic leaders with exclusive behind-the-scenes insights into various industries, including public safety, healthcare, and education.
This year, the ELR Class of 2024 took on the mission to revitalize The Closet at the Corona-Norco Unified School District’s Parent Center. The project aimed to transform the space into a boutique haven, stocked with pristine garments and footwear, to support Corona’s homeless and foster youth with dignity and care. Marie described the experience as "nothing short of exhilarating and deeply rewarding."
Reflecting on the program, Marie stated, “This journey has reinforced my belief in the power of collective action to spark transformative change. To everyone who made this experience possible, thank you for being part of this remarkable chapter in our shared pursuit of making a difference.”
Michael Collins, another proud ELR graduate, echoed Marie's sentiments, emphasizing the importance of the program in providing a platform for impactful community service. "Participating in ELR has been an eye-opening experience. It’s given me a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in our community, and the skills to make a meaningful impact," Collins said.

Since the 1980s, the ELR program has empowered local leaders by expanding their knowledge of the vast resources within the greater Corona region while fostering meaningful relationships within a diverse cohort. The program includes guided tours of various industries, workshops with policymakers and industry experts, and the opportunity to conceptualize and implement a community impact project.
The ELR program not only provides participants with comprehensive industry insights but also fosters a sense of community and shared purpose. The hands-on approach and the diverse range of industries covered ensure that participants gain a holistic understanding of the regional landscape.
Applications for the 2024-2025 ELR program are now open, with a deadline of July 19th, 2024. The program will start in September 2024 and conclude in June 2025. This is a unique opportunity for aspiring leaders to gain invaluable experience, build strong networks, and contribute to the betterment of the Corona region.
