The kick-off event for the Black Student Network with Nathaniel "Nate" Ilo! Nate is
the new Admissions Counselor for Diversity Initiatives at UC Santa Barbara. Nate transferred
to UCSB from Norco College, where as a student leader was president of the Umoja Community.

Featuring the Dramatic stories of journalist and women's suffrage activist Ida B.
Wells, Thomas Jefferson's slave and concubine Sally Hemings, and Shirley Chisholm,
the first African American in the U.S. Congress and the first African American woman
to run for president.
