As an institution of higher education, Norco College is committed to building a more inclusive and equitable culture and learning environment. The State Chancellor's Office is inviting students, faculty, classified professionals, institutional leaders, and community partners to participate and engage in the conversation at the college level and join key activities taking place throughout the month.
Norco College is a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) and Minority-Serving Institution (MSI). We serve primarily, but not exclusively, low-income students, first-generation students, and students of color. In April, we are shining the spotlight on the diverse populations we serve with events and activities.
Please find below the list of events planned for Black Student Success Week at Norco
College. Please join us for one or more events as we look at ways to celebrate and
elevate the success of our Black students beginning April 24 through April 28. These
events will complement the daily webinars from Noon to 1pm sponsored by the California
Community Colleges Chancellor's Office.

Thursday, April 27 - The Barbershop
The Barbershop was an opportunity for students to get a professional headshot. Haircuts were done by 6 professional, skillful barbers and a hairstylist. Free professional business attire was provided. It was an opportunity for students to take a professional headshot for their Linkedin, resume, etc. And meal tickets were given for a plate that included: 3 delicious tacos with a side of rice, beans, and a drink!
