The Veterans Initiative project at Norco College received a $10,000 grant from the Albertsons Companies Foundation. This gift will provide regional support to Veteran's through the Norco College Veterans Resource Center (VRC). Norco College is known as a Veteran friendly institution throughout the community and as a result, it has won the Military Times, Best for Vets Award each of the last five years.
The Norco College Veterans Resource Center serves Veterans, active duty military members,
and VA dependents with varying educational services in order to help them begin or
continue their education.
Founded in 2001, Albertsons Companies Foundation, formerly Safeway Foundation, supports
causes that impact customers' lives. Per its mission statement, Albertsons Companies
stores provide the opportunity to mobilize funding and create awareness in our neighborhoods
through the generous contributions by our customers, our employees' passion and partnerships
with our vendors. We focus on giving locally in the areas of health and human services,
hunger relief, education and helping people with disabilities. Albertsons Companies

since 2001.
