About the Artist
Jaik Faulk is an artist and curator from Lafayette, Louisiana, and is the Visual Arts
Director at Acadiana Center for the Arts.In 2014, Faulk returned to Lafayette after
15 years on the West Coast, where he played an active role in artist communities inPortland,
OR and San Francisco, CA. Jaik received his MFA in 2013 from the San Francisco Art
Institute and his BA from PortlandState University in 2005. He has most recently guest
curated the exhibition Cosmik Folk / Cosmic Land at Staple Goods in New Orleans, Lousiana.
Faulk is represented by NATIONALE in Portland, OR.
Jaik Faulk’s most recent paintings for Modern Times, Crooked Songs use negative space
and musical timing to rethink early modernist approaches.
