Norco College | May 18, 2026

Norco College continues to raise the standard in athletics, student opportunity, and community impact as the Women’s Flag Football program builds momentum heading into the 2027 season. What started as a bold vision has quickly become one of the most exciting and fastest-growing programs in the Inland Empire and throughout California community college athletics. As support for women’s flag football continues to grow across the state, Norco College remains proud to be the only community college program serving Riverside County and now the only college in the entire Riverside Community College District preparing to compete during the 2027 season.

The future of Mustang Women’s Flag Football continues to shine brighter with the recent commitments of five outstanding student-athletes who are expected to elevate the program both on and off the field. Three athletes from Ramona High School, one from Martin Luther King High School, and one from San Dimas High School have committed, with more expected to follow soon. These athletes represent the next generation of leaders, competitors, and game changers who believe in the vision, culture, and opportunity being built at Norco College. Their commitment reflects the program’s growing reputation and the platform Norco College provides young women throughout the region to continue their athletic and academic journeys at the collegiate level.

As the program enters its next chapter, Norco College has high hopes of joining the Orange Empire Conference and competing for a conference championship in the near future. The program’s growth is not only creating opportunities for student-athletes but also strengthening campus pride, community engagement, and the overall student experience. The Women’s Flag Football program has become a symbol of innovation, resilience, and possibility, reflecting Norco College’s commitment to creating inclusive opportunities, building belonging, and empowering students to succeed in every aspect of life.

As the campus continues preparing for upcoming accreditation efforts, programs like Women’s Flag Football showcase the work happening across Norco College. The passion and dedication of faculty, staff, administrators, coaches, and students continue to move the College forward and demonstrate its impact throughout the Inland Empire.

The Mustang movement is growing. The support is growing. The vision is growing. Norco College Women’s Flag Football is just getting started.
