The California Dream Network hosted its annual Statewide Retreat at UC Merced from Friday, November 15, to Sunday, November 17. The theme, “Together United, Forever Ignited,” captured the resilience and collective power driving the immigrant rights movement.

The three-day retreat aimed to empower immigrant youth and allies through workshops, storytelling, and community-building activities. Participants explored their individual and collective strengths while developing actionable strategies to advance immigrant rights in California. Open to anyone passionate about advocacy and social change, the retreat provided a platform to share experiences and build leadership skills essential for organizing justice-driven initiatives.

This year, Norco College was represented by eight students from undocumented, mixed-status, and ally communities. Their diverse backgrounds and commitment to immigrant rights brought inspiration to discussions and activities.

The retreat offered an opportunity to learn, connect, and recommit to the pursuit of justice. Norco College thanks the California Dream Network for facilitating a meaningful experience and remains dedicated to advancing immigrant rights with hearts and spirits united.
