Experience

Daniela oversees several departments within the Norco College student services division, which includes Adult Education, CalWORKs, Summer Advantage, and five TRIO programs including three Upward Bound and two Student Support Services (SSS) programs. Daniela has worked at Norco for over 15 years. She has served in classified, adjunct counseling and administrative roles over the years at Norco College.

Daniela’s experience in higher education includes ten years as an Outreach Specialist, several years within that timespan as an adjunct counselor, six years as an Assistant Dean of CalWORKs & Special Funded Programs and one year as Dean of Special Funded Programs. Daniela has been a part of the long history that made Norco Campus, Norco College. She took part in writing the initial accreditation report for Student Services, started Norco’s CalWORKs program and has helped grow the Summer Advantage Program since its inception in 2012. Daniela believes that it is the supportive and caring learning environment that sets Norco College apart from other colleges. She is honored to be able to help guide students towards achieving their personal and academic goals.

Daniela is a first-generation college graduate. Originally from Romania, she came to this country at an early age with her family. Daniela grew up in the Inland Empire where she continues to reside with her husband and son. Daniela enjoys game nights with family and friends, hiking on the weekends and just hanging out with her dog, Rudy-Toots and cat, Tinker-Toots.
