Experience

Ms. Etchison is the Associate Dean of Career & Technical Education (CTE) at Norco College. She is transitioning from her previous role as the Director of Strong Workforce Strategic Communications & Marketing for the Inland Empire Desert Regional Consortium (IEDRC), where she was responsible for overseeing a $1.1 Million regional grant to manage the Inland Empire Desert Regional Consortium Strong Workforce strategic communications and outreach project. This included designing and implementing an integrated brand communications, media relations and community education program to position the 12 regional community colleges of the Inland Empire as the preferred providers of affordable, high quality job training education for all youth and adult learners in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Ms. Etchison also serves as part-time faculty at Norco College, teaching the work experience course. This course prepares students to be successful in the workplace by tying their education directly to their employment.

Ms. Etchison's professional background includes over ten years of experience working in the field of education at the school district, county and community college levels. A firm supporter of Career Education, Ms. Etchison has a successful record of accomplishment in developing, operationalizing, and managing outreach and service delivery initiatives, promoting community engagement, regional partnerships, workforce preparation, and economic development. She has experience working with apprenticeship programs, adult education, job placement, employer outreach and student recruitment and retention. She currently serves as co-chair of the California Community College Association for Occupational Education Marketing & Outreach committee and represents the Inland Empire Desert Regional Consortium at the statewide Regional Marketing Leads quarterly meeting.

Ms. Etchison is a passionate supporter of the community and local businesses. She sits on the City of Norco Economic Development Advisory Council, and serves on the Board of the Norco Area Chamber of Commerce. As a proud mother, she volunteers time to support Corona Norco Unified School District, Norco Little League and other community organizations.
