EOPS/CARE Application Process

The EOPS application process consists of the following steps:

  • New college students complete and submit the Norco College application for admission
  • Take the college placement test
  • Submit official transcripts from any high school and/or college course(s) completed (if required)
  • Apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Complete a Norco College EOPS/CARE Application (available at the EOPS/CARE Office)

CARE applicants must also submit a CARE verification form to be completed and signed by applicant and their county CalWORKs caseworker once they are admitted to EOPS.

EOPS Eligibility

If you are interested in participating in EOPS, you must meet the following criteria to be considered for the program:

  • Be a California resident or eligible AB 540 student
  • Receive BOGW A or B
  • Have completed less than 45 degree applicable units
  • Demonstrate an academic challenge as determined by EOPS state guidelines
  • Enroll in 12 units or more for the term accepted (Students with a documented disability may qualify to enroll in less than 12 units.)

CARE Eligibility

You may also qualify for CARE if you meet the following criteria:

  • Admitted to EOPS at Norco College
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Enroll in12 units (Students with a documented disability may qualify to enroll in less than 12 units.)
  • Receive CalWORKs/TANF cash aid
  • Have at least one child 13 years of age or younger
  • Single-parent/head of household
