​Physical Science

​Physical science is the branch of science that deals with the study of the inorganic world. That is, it does not study living things. The four main branches of physical science are astronomy, physics, chemistry, and the Earth sciences, which include meteorology and geology

Career Options


Career options​ for students who get a degree in physical science include: ecologist, environmental scientist, field geologist, civil engineer, urban planner, surveyor, forensic science technician, water resources engineer, research tecnician, nuclear engineer and mechanical engineer.​

Rachel Spiegel ​Rachel Spiegel


​​Rachel capped her studies at Norco College with two associate degrees before going on to earn a bachelor’s degree in health care management. Today, Rachel Spiegel manages a busy chiropractic corporation in Corona, using the knowledge and many of the skills she first acquired at Norco College.

“I’ve gone from the bottom as a part-time employee to becoming general manager,” Rachel said. “I see how employees are treated and how you can help improve work lives and programs within your business. Norco College was a stepping stone on my career path.”
