Health sciences are applied sciences that address the use of science, technology, engineering or mathematics in the delivery of healthcare to human beings and animals.
The list of occupations within the health sciences is also practically endless, including jobs in five major career paths: diagnostic services, therapeutic services, support services, health informatics, and biotechnology research and development. Careers that students can pursue with a major in health science include: audiologist, dental assistant, dietician, medical lab technician, veterinarian, medical assistant, nurse, optometrist, pharmacy technician, physical therapist and speech-language pathologist.
