A donation by the California Land Surveyors Association (CLSA) will enable Norco College to replace outdated survey and other equipment used in engineering classes.
Norco College associate faculty member Bill Hofferber arranged the donation. “It is of tremendous value that students work with the most up to date equipment possible,” said Hofferber, who serves as an CLSA officer. “I was glad to be able to direct funds to Norco.”
According to CLSA a percentage of the proceeds from its annual conference silent auction is given to various educational institutions with strong engineering or surveying programs. This is the first year Norco College made the list, and will now receive an annual donation, says Hofferber.
Norco College offers degree, certificate and transfer programs in engineering, and design.
