Interim Vice President, Business Services
We are pleased to announce our new Interim Vice President for Business Services, Mr. Jim Reeves. Many of you have already met Jim through his role as interim Director of Facilities at Norco College, what you may not be aware of is the wealth of knowledge and experience Jim brings to the college through his extensive career in higher education.
Jim has more than 25 years of experience in senior leadership roles in higher education. As a faculty member, student affairs officer, CFO, and COO, he initiated and guided the development of annual and multi-year budgets and the development and execution of strategic planning initiatives. Jim has provided operational oversight to the areas of human resources, institutional technology, safety & security, risk management and accounting services including student accounts and audit preparation. His experience further extends to the oversight of maintenance, grounds and custodial services in addition to the bookstore, food services, and student housing operations.
Jim’s career in higher education, including his tenure at Norco College can be characterized by a commitment to open communication, collegial working relationships and high standards of personal and professional accountability. He has a history of working effectively with students, faculty, staff and governing boards on many initiatives including strategic planning, the development of facilities master plans and emergency preparedness. His focus on staff development, through workshops and professional development opportunities, has been instrumental to his success in retaining motivated and engaged colleagues.
